History

At the age of 47, in the city of São Ludgero, Aloísio Schlickmann founded Indústria de Calçados Plim Ltda., a small company producing plastic sandals for children. In so doing, he brought to this small municipality in the southern part of the Brazilian State of Santa Catarina what would later become the mainstay of its economy, the plastic transformation industry.

The Copobras Group brings together leading brands in their respective segments. These are brands that are involved in people’s daily lives, seeking to cultivate good relationships, and inspire trust in the clients.

The 5 D's

Aloísio Schlickmann, the founder of the Copobras Group, used to say “We can obtain everything in life when we follow the rules of the four Ds: Dedication, Determination, Discipline and Deus (God).” Later on, his son Marcelo added a fifth D to his father’s rules, Diversity.

Dedicated people are aimed at the target, in an intense and complete form, and always do their best. To be dedicated does not necessarily mean working overtime and getting worn out; it does mean putting quality, attention and care into everything that is done. The person who shows dedication wants to do more with fewer resources and less exertion.
Determined people have firm goals, conviction, set targets, and well-defined plans. They do not know sentences such as “I cannot” and “This is not for me”. They never give up; much to the contrary, they are persistent, seek new strategies, keep focused, and their anxiety to reach the target increases as each stage is overcome.
Having God as one of the company pillars is to believe that we are all people with one same aim, acting together for a common objective which is that of making each day of our lives better. We seek to align the aims of the company and our business relationships with the principles and values common to all creeds, which essentially means upholding relationships based on respect for others, justice, truth, honesty and harmony.
A key characteristic of successful professional people, discipline is considered a quality to be sought constantly by the people who work here. Discipline is strongly linked to maintaining order, keeping to timetables, respect for rules and regulations within the process, and also the harmonious operation of the organisation.
In the way they act, think and speak; in the colour of their hair, their skin and their eyes – people are all different. Here, differences are respected, understood and valued, as they are regarded as the biggest wealth of our professional people.
